I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Dr. Piyaporn Thipayarat, Director of Bangkok Hospital Pattaya, Dr. Thiti Warinserikul, Assistant Director of the Hospital, Department Managers, nurses from both the Urology Surgery Department and the Operating Room, as well as Teleflex Medical, represented by Ms. Gladys Yeo, Senior Manager of Strategic Marketing, APAC Interventional Urology, and Mr. Carlin Mak, General Manager for Singapore and Thailand.
This occasion marks the successful treatment of 15 patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia using the #UroLift technique, and I am honored to be the first in Thailand to receive an official certificate of recognition.
UroLift is an innovative treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) that involves minimal invasiveness. It helps to open the urethra that has been compressed by the prostate without the need for surgery or heat treatment. The procedure takes about 30 minutes, during which the doctor uses a small camera and specialized instruments made of stainless steel and nitinol (a highly flexible metal) to place a special device into the urethra and prostate, immediately widening the urethra and effectively alleviating the symptoms of BPH.
