We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the Faculty of Medicine, Naresuan University and the organizing committee of the Lower North URO Conference 2026 for the valuable opportunity to participate in
“Precision Prostate Treatment: HoLEP, UroLift & Targeted Focal Therapy Workshop.”
This academic conference represents an important platform for advancing knowledge in urological surgery and men’s health, particularly in the management of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) and prostate cancer—two of the most prevalent conditions affecting aging male populations worldwide.
The program provided a comprehensive learning experience, integrating evidence-based medical insights, hands-on training, and live surgery sessions, allowing participants to gain practical exposure to contemporary surgical techniques and real-world clinical applications.
A central theme of the workshop was the concept of precision prostate treatment, emphasizing individualized patient care through advanced and minimally invasive technologies, including:
- HoLEP (Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate), a highly effective and precise surgical option for large prostate glands
- UroLift System, a minimally invasive approach that relieves prostatic obstruction without tissue resection
- Targeted Focal Therapy, a tissue-sparing strategy designed to treat localized disease while preserving surrounding healthy structures
The opportunity to exchange clinical experiences with fellow specialists, observe live surgical procedures, and learn emerging techniques significantly enhances the ability to deliver safe, precise, and patient-centered care.
This conference reflects the evolving direction of modern urology—toward minimally invasive interventions, improved functional outcomes, and a strong emphasis on quality of life in men’s urological health.
